Health Plan Options for 2010

State employees will see all of their health, dental and vision options return in 2010. In health plan coverage, all four HMO carriers will be available with adjustments to the co-pays for both the Standard and Alternative benefits. HealthChoice, the state-sponsored indemnity plan, also returns with a High and Basic plan design. HealthChoice will once again offer a third health plan option called the HealthChoice S-Account, a high deductible health plan. Verification of a Health Savings Account established in the employee's name will be required to complete enrollment.

Listed below are a total of eleven medical plan choices for State employees:

Certain retired military Oklahoma state employees have the option to opt out of the offered benefits. Due to a recent change in federal legislation, purchase of a TRICARE Supplement plan will not be available through the employee benefit program.

In 2010, the Debit Card will again be offered at NO CHARGE: The Flexible Spending Debit card continues gaining popularity among employees. The annual fee of $14.40 usually charged for the card has been paid on behalf of the employee by the Employees Benefits Council.

Option Period begins October 5, 2009 and runs through October 30, 2009.
Don't forget to enroll online. Last year, more than 72% of employees chose this convenient enrollment option.
