Health Plan Options for 2011
State employees will see most of their health, dental and vision options return in 2011. In health plan coverage, three HMO carriers will be available with both Standard and Alternative plans. HealthChoice, the state-sponsored indemnity plan, also returns with a High and Basic plan design. HealthChoice will once again offer a third health plan option called the HealthChoice S-Account, a high deductible health plan. Verification of a Health Savings Account established in the employee's name will be required to complete enrollment.

Certain retired military Oklahoma state employees have the option to opt out of the offered benefits. A TRICARE Supplement plan is once again available through the employee benefit program.

In 2012, the Debit Card will again be offered at NO CHARGE: The Flexible Spending Debit card continues gaining popularity among employees. The annual fee of $14.40 usually charged for the card has been paid on behalf of the employee by the Employees Benefits Council.
Option Period is October 3 through October 28, 2011.
Don't forget to enroll online. Last year, 78% of employees chose this convenient enrollment option.
