As a state employee, you have many benefit choices. Each year, you select among plans that fit your needs for health, dental, life, and disability insurance. EBD provides these required “core” benefit plan choices within the guidelines set by law. In addition, employees may select from other optional benefits such as vision insurance. The state provides you with a benefit allowance to purchase these benefits. We continually evaluate the marketplace to identify additional core benefit choices. For Plan Year 2012, EBD offers the following plans:
